Creepy Doll Series
These are only the beginning of my Creepy Doll series. The series began as found items on thrift shops shelves just as they were displayed. No images have been rearranged. These sinister displays are what I found. The fact that these dolls were loved and were the belongings of a child at one time, brought me to think about refugees around the world; human beings abandoning their homeland with very little to comfort them. To children, these dolls may have been who they talked to, played with and found security with. My images of these dolls represent the loss of comfort and the emptiness that these children on the run must be experiencing. These dolls, more often than not, were discarded, donated, or lost. As these dolls have been ignored, just as the refugee children around the world are right now. My hope is that looking into these dolls eyes would encourage you to think about what you can do to help a broken world while facing your own fears.
